Investing is dangerous at his level. The only time investing pays off is when you have so much money you won't notice losing any, and you can put in enough to get tons back. Most worthy investments you need a lot of money.
If you're talking about the stock market, then that is ill advised as well. Per share rates would be a waste if he didn't have the big bank account to swing at it, and trading the shares he did have would hurt his wallet even more.
