Braces are a bitch. A forewarning: they're going to hurt like shit for the first few days after you get them. I remember when I first got my braces, I could barely chew.

Stick to the metallic gray- I've never had/will ever need braces, but those I've seen with color just look like 7 year olds. Generally.

I don't need braces but people think i have some fucked up teeth. The only reason that happens is because my front bottom teeth are a little off so they assume my entire mouth is that way.

I got braces when I was 11 and I have to keep them till I'm fourteen. Walrus is right, they goddamn hurt for the first few days. And please do not stop eating all the sugary foods (including popcorn) just because the orthdontist suggests it. You'll be fine just as long as you don't deliberately press them against your braces.

I'm thinking they won't because they've already put spacers in my teeth to move some of them already. (The spacers are rubber bands that move your teeth a few centemeters a day for a few days.) I couldn't even chew my favorite Girls Scout cookies.
But now it just feels like I have Beef Jerky in my teeth.

If the expert was a dick he'd tell you to keep eating bad food then sell you some kind of legal painkiller to make more money.
I ignored the doctor's advice of not eating bagels but I didn't eat the other stuff like popcorn and gum. It won't necessarily break your braces right away but if you chew gum it gets stuck in the braces and the same with popcorn. Biting into apples without cutting them up may make them come loose.
i hit the genetic jackpot. i've never needed dental care beyond the regular cleanings, and a couple cavity fillings here and there.
i go to the dentist roughly once every 2 and a half years
