As if the Iraq war logs wasn't enough, now they're releasing cables between embassies. Everyone from high level politicians to news anchors are enraged that Julian Assange and his band of merry men are doing (although in a refreshingly chaotic, unrepentant way) what the media should have been doing the whole damn time. I'm actually rather impressed he's managed to not get killed yet considering how many people he's pissed off.

This guy is a thorn in the side of the most powerful nation in the world and magically allegations surface of child rape. I'd take that as evidence the CIA is trying to get to him. He must be pissing off the United State's elite more than they want to admit.

This is pretty dumb on the U.S's part. Any decently intelligent person could see through this crap about sexual harassment allegations. And who put forth these allegations, may I ask? Agree with you completely TA.

He's obviously pissing them off because he's caused them a ton of embarrassment in front of the whole world. Apparently they're going to take "aggressive steps" to stop him.

Amazon's move to kick WikiLeaks off its servers came after congressional staff called the company Tuesday to inquire about its relationship with WikiLeaks, Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Connecticut independent, said Wednesday.
"The company's decision to cut off Wikileaks now is the right decision and should set the standard for other companies Wikileaks is using to distribute its illegally seized material," Lieberman said in a statement. He added that he would have further questions for Amazon about its dealings with WikiLeaks.
Wikileaks has moved to swedish servers now.

The economists article is true and there are other whistleblowers out there. The issue is they're all covered in the incredulity of conspiracy theory where as wikileaks has managed to avoid that title. It's the flagship of the armada of existing leaks.

Something about assange is fishy. I think the fact he gets funding from george soros and that in spite of the fact he's been stepping on a lot of toes lately it's only been just recently that he's been held by a government, and that was because he turned himself in. I dunno, something ain't right.
