The warm fuzzy feeling of exploiting a religion I don't believe in for its holidays and festivities is great in the morning.
Why thank you darling, I'm glad you share my religious satire.
No, actually you're quite right. Damn vocabulary letting me down. Pffft.
sat·ire
/ˈsætaɪər/ Show Spelled[sat-ahyuhr] Show IPA
–noun
1.
the use of irony, sarcasm, ridicule, or the like, in exposing, denouncing, or deriding vice, folly, etc.
No, I'm pretty sure that's not satire, unless Zhu Que was in the state of mind to satirize the human condition.
Does anyone actually have a suggestion of a better word? I am actually at a loss here.
Well I wasn't adhering by a fucking dictionary when I saw the post, Justin. It's until you brought up the argument that I used one. You're just grasping now and trying to say I'm the one that's wrong because I used a fucking dictionary? Do you think every mildly sarcastic statement is satire, Justin? That would mean half the posts you make are satirical.
1) I use the dictionary because if there isn't one then there's no definite answer and an argument goes on forever
2) I pointed out a mistake, Zhu que agreed, and we went on our merry way until you disputed it
3) Once again, saying every statement with sarcasm is satire would be a generalization
Well okay I won't use a dictionary let's go with my own definition of satire before I read any other: "To state a person's argument with such vehemence as to point out its flaws". And yes, I do actually use vehemence in my thoughts.
That isn't satire. The warm fuzzy feeling of exploiting a religion I don't believe in for its holidays and festivities is great in the morning.
She used the word satire in a post and in the post right below I pointed out it wasn't satire and she was like "Yeah you're right" and then you were like "No, it's right" and I was like "nuh-uh" and you were like "ya-huh". Where this agreement "on using the definition with raven in the first place" happened I got no idea.
I'm going by my definition. Maybe you should use a dictionary to figure out what vehemence means.
Never thought I'd find someone who'd actually argue with me over the use of a word for a page. And this isn't about the word justin. This has pretty much drifted into every other argument we've ever had. Also, it's funny how you say I'm defending it so vigorously and yet you're using any profanity possible in every post.
