    Default Problem When Creating A Pokemon Team

    I need some creative advice because I got nothing. No movesets or any of that junk since the team isn't really finished.

    Breloom
    Nasty little pokemon tried it on a few of my past failure 5th gen teams and it was pretty good in comparison. I wanted to use it so thats where I started.

    Tyranitar
    Breloom has issues with psychics and tyranitar kills those off. Also destroys weather teams with a switch in.

    Shandera
    Takes fighting hits for tyranitar. Also with problems to water types breloom works and makes a neat little synergy circle.

    I still needed 3 pokemon so...

    Magnezone
    Deals with Skarmory which breloom hates and also narolli or whatever its called and so far EVERYONE has a narolli.

    Dragonite
    With steels out of the way from magnezone Dragonite works great in sweeping. Multiscale is also cool. But needs to have full HP to work. So no stealth rocks allowed.

    Espeon
    Espeon is a natural choice to deal with sleath rocks long enough for a draonite sweep. Opposing special walls have to deal with Breloom.

    Problem is with this team THERE IS NO FUCKING LEAD! Why? The ONLY pokemon that can even fufill a lead position is espeon and its generally better to be a second hand man and switch in if you think an entry hazard is coming. And no other pokemon here makes a decent lead at all without sacficing there usefullness on the team.

    I think Shandera can do Magnezone's job as well as its own. Natt and Skarm both hate fire. Maybe switch Magnezone for a Mischievous Heart lead?

    Perhaps. But then again who will clear the field of the other steel types? Tyranitar is ment for psychics.

    I was actually thinkign the other way and ditching shandera since that would only cause a fighting type weakness.

    I am not sure either is Shandera deals with Scizor which is Tyranitar's manin problem. With pursuit and all.

    Breloom, Tyranitar and Shandy can handle Steel. Unless I'm mistaken Magnezone is usually set up with HP Fire for taking on Steel, and its only advantage is Magnet Pull. As for Scizor... Against T-tar it'll use either Superpower or Bullet Punch, and Shandera resists those. It outruns Scizor (unless it's scarfed) so you can set it ablaze before it Pursuits you.

    I see your point.

    Any ideas for an anti lead that deals with other anti leads (since espeon just switches in on any real leads so I am not setting up anything). Perhaps Blaziken?

    Anti leads stop things from setting up or creat a situation where setting up didn't really do anything for there team. Some examples are taunters trickers and staight out attackers with prority moves or annoying moves like Machamp with encore.

    So an anti-anti-lead would be something that can just cut through them? Sort of like anti-tank infantry vs. anti-tank tanks?

    in the old metagame it was for people that didn't care about stealth rocks at all and just wanted to kill anti leads that did

    Perhaps a sturdy pokemon who useusall sets up stealth rocks but I DON'T. Trick a whatever on me or taunt me and I just fire back hits.

    why? puruit doesn't do much damage if they don't try to switch and any lead or anti lead usually doesn't switch until its job is done

    How about:

    Abogoura @ Water Gem
    Adamant
    252 Attack 252 Speed
    -Waterfall
    -Aqua Jet
    -Earthquake
    -Rock Slide

    Knock em down to low HP or even focus sash levels with stab and water gemed waterfall then aqua jet them to dead. Rest for filler/coverage perhaps I might add some status move for annoyance.

    Water is fantastic coverage too. I am trying to find a focus sash/prority attacker with that good coverage but am coming up empty handed.
