How many balls did you need?
Pardon the way I phrased that question
How many pokéballs (of any kind) to capture different legendary Pokémon in different games?
Now, let's not get competitive, this is just for funsies!
I'll start, yesterday it took me 4 Ultra balls to catch Kyogre.
And I can't remember after that!
I remember one time I had to throw over 40 ultra balls to catch Kyogre. I'm not kidding.
And then I probably used about 30 on Zapdos at one point. The frustrating thing with Zapdos is the ball will miss 75% of the time.
It took me 95 ultra balls to get regirock(not joking)

I have yet to catch all of the Regis in Sapphire/Ruby (I usually get bored half way through and start again you see
One time it took me only 3 ultra balls to catch articuno. I was very happy

I needed 40 pokeballs to catch suicune(not joking).
I always save before legendary battles, that way if I run out of Pokeballs I restart the game. Kinda cheap I suppose but don't wanna miss out on the catch. Took me 1 ultraball to catch Groudon, I love the hypnosis from my Noctowl something of legend I presume, hah anyway good day and good luck catching those Pokemon!

I would assume everyone who isn't an utter moron would save before challenging legendaries.
I caught Suicune with a friend ball.
Then I caught Lugia with a heavy ball.
Whatever happened to those special pokeballs?
