A little late on the draw Trixie, but like everyone else has said in some form or another, just stay cool and ride it out. I know it's hard, trust me, I watched my parents tear each other down for 17 years of my life and though it never got easier I knew that dwelling on it would only make me feel bad about a situation I couldn't control. A split up and time for each of them to heal sounds lime it would be good for them.
I won't say that everything will work out between them, and I won't say that it's doomed to fail. Whatever happens will happen, but as you can see we are here for you if you need an e-shoulder to cry upon. Hang in there girl!
Well this is very terrible when parents fighting.. don't listen them buddy just avoid them.. listen music or watch tv at full volume..

Just realised I didn't answer this... yeah, we built it ourselves.
Now we have the last finishing up stuff, painting, getting an electrician, carpenter, plumber, buying new furniture and organising it there and everything. A lot of stuff, really.
My mum's paying for it all with her own money now.

Pretty sure most what ill tell you has been said, but in any case.
Sometimes the best recourse is to just go on with your life is to find your friends. Regardless if it maybe PD or RW, just having that circle of communication will help you at least get your mind off of it. It will make you stronger, not now, but later on down the road.
To paraphrase what Dogar said, we got you covered.
