# 630 Mandibuzz
Mandibuzz
its not often i can say a pokemon can OUTCLASS 5th gen umbreon, but i'm pretty sure this one might. its defenses are amazing and its HP is following in the footsteps of vaporeon with more physical coverage. its a jack of all trades as well! it can do just about everything that isn't speedy sweeping. about its abilities, they are all good, but i'd stick with either big pecks or overcoat, depending on the team its going to. (overcoat for SS, big pecks for anything else)
HP: 110
Attack: 65
Defense: 105
Sp. Attack: 55
Sp. Def: 95
Speed: 80
the Bastard of skarmory and murkrow
Item: leftovers
Ability: Big Pecks/Overcoat
Nature: Impish
Evs: 172 HP 84 atk 116 def 136 sp def
-Roost
-Brave Bird
-Whirlwind/toxic
-Payback/substitute
another lovely flying type that really makes people think its lost in the laundry of bulky flyers, and their half right. its niche is its unique typing only seen by sweepers up until 5th gen. the idea is to double wall against its 3 resistances and 2 immunities, and stay alive against its many x1. its able to force switches like a mad man, deal decent damage at a constant rate (in UU/MU mostly) and it is faster than most other walls/tanks, and can take a LOAD of hits like a boss. the EV spread is made to make its HP 404 to avoid seismic toss breaking subs (or 4hko), its defs each 280 (because its weaknesses are split between the two in abundance), and investing the rest into attack.
Nasty Plot
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Big Pecks/Overcoat
Nature: Modest
Evs: 172 HP 96 def 108 sp atk 116 sp def
-Nasty Plot
-Roost
-Dark Pulse/Air Slash
-HP fire
this set is to prove that a base 55 sp. attack can be used as an amazing tank. its pretty self explanatory (besides the EV which i will touch on below) where it tanks, nastyplots up, then sweeps the shit out of everything that isn't blissey or cryagonal. its only option is air slash vs. dark pulse. its more about if your worried about conkledurr or reunculus more (as a generalization). HP fire is for the obvious x4 fires that resist your stabs. the EV spread is the 404 HP, exactly 190 sp. attack (to allow more of a punch), it leaves 270 defense and 255 sp. def, which you can alternate if you want.
the Umbreon-ish
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Big Pecks/Overcoat
Nature: Careful
Evs: 252 HP 176 def 80 sp def
-whirlwind/payback
-Roost
-substitute
-toxic
its the wall umbreon set that doesn't utilize mean look or curse, and it takes fighting attacks like a champ. it stalls with toxic, it subs, it heals, it can force switches, its really good. EV's max HP and spread defs to 280 and 270.
Other Options:
-taunt lead is ok, but it cant do much more than taunt.
-U-turn is better for faster scouting (NOT base 80)
-steel wing is ok, but no stab and it only takes care of rocks/ice.
-the weak armor ability is cool if it had attacks to compliment it.
-tailwind is awesome, but i'd rather wall that support with mandibuzz.
Team Options:
-wall
-wall
-WALL
-FUCKING WALL
Counters:
-well... um... zapdos can deal with it ok with a 2HKO from thunderbolt.
-rain teams pretty much destroy the nasty plot set by utilizing x2 fire ferrothorn.
-full sp. def/HP registeel can wall the living shit out of it.
-pretty much any steel type in rain/SS can stop it ok
-tyranitar kills it completely

UU maybe IDK, I just know it can stall to death most OU teams.
-
i think that its like clefable. can be used ANYWHERE sucessfully in the metagame, but thrives in the mid-tier pokes
