Bought a used game.

I recently bought a used Pokémon Platinum game, and it's obvious that the previous owner used cheats (it had 900 masterballs and a level 100 shiny Crobat but only 1 badge), and I'm just wondering if there's any risk the game is now corrupted or something, even if I start a new game on it.

I had a Pokémon Yellow once, which turned out to be corrupted (might also have been due to the fact that it ended up in the washing machine), so I'm a bit paranoid. If I start a new game, will the m4d h4x be reset (undone), and the game perfectly legitimate, or should I return it?

The only way the game would be corrupt, is if they had somehow chaged the games ROM. Using cheats would only change that persons save file.
