I was on night duty tonight. Probably deleted a good 30 of bots that dared to assault my lair. If there's any bots when you wake up guys, it's because I went to bed.

just fucking abandon this board goddamn. i have nothing against pd but its apparent that this place is a wasteland with surges of shitty activity every couple of weeks. this particular wave will die out in a week or two and it will go back to being qoorl and nyrisis' wedding planning site. banning bots is a tremendous waste of the mods' time since without ips banning or a better captcha they will keep coming back and wei obviously doesnt care enough to do anything about it. discussion is practically non-existent and whatever conversations go on around here are boring and dont even need to be relegated to this particular message board or a message board in general. keep in touch via im or facebook or cosmo or hell make your own board i dont care. the fact is remaining here and trying to spark life into a forum thats been dead for years is an exercise in futility.
most of all, this unbridled patriotism regarding pd and its 'culture' makes no sense to me. god might be hesitant in abandoning the board because hes been here since the beginning, but the rest of you dont have that excuse. the entire classic 'pd ecosystem' - he was the one who started it all and saw it to the end. but it doesnt exist anymore, and he would be the first to admit that none of you who are active now channel the essence of what pd was back then. qoorl, nyrisis, trixie, all of you - none of you are what pd was and you arent going to be able to bring it back.
and then theres the randomers who keep popping up every once in a while declaring allegiance to a forum whose true culture they have never been a part of, providing credence to the pointless endeavours of the curators of pd whether it was to god back in 09 or to qoorl now. nidoking, lugiathelight, and kirby were a couple. and as for the most recent examples, henri and seven: youre both silly. get over yourselves. you have less posts than me and i dont consider myself an active member of the board. if youve found home in this dump on the corner of the internet then i feel sorry for you. there are better forums out there.
but at the end of the day im apathetic. i just dont give a shit. eventually my apathy will build up to the point that i will stop logging in here for another couple of months... or maybe forever. but for now what youre all doing is just so utterly painful to watch. just let this shitty forum die.
