If Mewtwo really started going ham on the PD main site and updated it and everything, would we actually start to get members, or is PD to far gone for that card anymore.

Because I am thinking we could probably start editing the main site ourselfs if Mewtwo just gave us the permissions. But would it be worth it?

Its annoying with all the good web makers trying to go off and make their own sites, most of which won't last more than a few years. Pokedream has seen some excellent web designers, all of which left to make their own site failures. At the very least use your skill on another site like smogon or something, instead of pooling your resources into a new site.

I don't think a new big pokemon site has come out in years anyway.

Unless you bring something new and innovative to the table, everyone is going to ignore your site in favour of the established ones like Serebii (and Pokedream, to a lesser extent). If all your website has on it are some walkthroughs and the typical info on all the games, no one is going to even acknowledge it. In my opinion, the glory days of fan websites are over, these days if people want info on something they just visit the official site or it's Facebook page.

So, unless you established your site in the early to mid 2000s, it's highly likely that no one is going to care unless you're friends with the owner of a large site that helps you promote the hell out of it. Sorry.

My site is going to be focused on building a community, not just another Pokemon themed website. To be honest a lot of the Pokemon sites I see out here have poor UI design (content is very messy!) and outdated forum software...I already have the new VB forum setup on my server and will be building the main website around the forum. Everything else will be a plus.
