Welcome to Obama's America. This happened to my family 2 years ago, beleive me, there aren't any jobs out there for recently laid off older people. His best bet is going into business himself.

The worst part is, he got laid off from his job around here a year ago. They laid off the top 4 paid people. He got a job in DC, they gave him this big-time award with a plaque and shit after like 4 months, and he just got a pretty significant raise cuz he's good as hell at his job. But then decisions from on high on the government cut his team >_>

They don't care about us, so fuck them. Tell him to start his own security business. Company's would pay made money for his supposed skills.

I don't think he's ever legitimately considered that option. I don't know enough about what he does to know if that's possible, but Imma talk to him about it. I was just starting to get over shit too, his being gone all the time has fucked me up pretty bad the past year. He'll be home a lot more though >_>
