They all seem to be the bad asses of their world and people are like OMG the X-men/Avangers/Fantastic 4, when infact they all live in the same universe. Not onyl that but when the world is in trouble, only one of those groups comes together to save it. Fuck, why the hell aren't they ALL on the avengers.
Several reasons. I can answer better later (I'm on a phone atm) but they all serve different niches. Yes the FF are super heroes but rerally they deal with exploration of the unknown rather than battling supervillians for the most part; other planets, dimensions etc.
The xmen are selfish pricks and pretty much only deal with Mutant issues.
The Avengers battle most of the big public threats to the world and members of the xmen and the FF have been avengers from time to time.
That's the quick and dirty answer. I can explain more later.

I like how in one movie he takes down Superman's enemy, or apocolpyse whatever, simply by setting the base to blow, while everyone else was fighting.
Jake could probably hold his own though... maybe even the Ice king and flame princess.
