Default For those of you still into indie rock music...

Listen to this and bask in the poetic beauty of our glorious elf/waif overlord.
Well, I open my eyes and I see things. I've seen spirits moving through the walls. I've seen a vortex coming through the wall. I've seen amorphous little balls of light bouncing all around in the front yard through the window. I've seen giant bugs on the floor. I was in a hotel room in Amarillo, Texas, and all I remember is standing on the bed and seeing the whole wall in front of me filled with lights that were [makes popping sound] popping like popcorn out of the wall. Then I'll wake up and I go "Wow, I was standing on my bed and staring at this wall."

(This probably isn't indie rock now that I think of it, baroque pop or freak folk is probably more accurate, but it mostly defies categorisation.)

"I'll go," said Chagataev. "But what will I do there? Build socialism?"
    "What else?" said the secretary.

Did you ever listen to it God and if so what were your thoughts? I'm convinced it's one of the most ambitious albums ever made and lots of intricate thematic/chiastic structuring went over the heads of people listening to it.

I've also legitimately started believing that my profile picture might just be the best Beatles-related release of all, which is either indicative that I'm slowly losing it or finally managing to escape the poisonous hivemind of cultural groupthink.

Hence you are left with a very sad, blunt, possibly traumatic, honest and overall healing sort of album as the therapy influenced John to write about his family issues, and issues with fame, and issues with love, and adulation at a young age. If I were you I'd listen to God first, it's probably the album highlight.

When you reach a certain level of interest or passion relating to any art-related vanguard you just sort of realise you can't shake the sense of pretension but you can certainly embrace it. And relinquishing any form of passion because others can't understand it and judge you negatively for it is a self-compromise I'm just not comfortable with.
