Macroeconomics is the study of a system or systems, microeconomics is the study of an individual or relationships between individuals within a given system.
If you want to start learning about economics, spend 5 minutes asking a poor person, a middle class person, and a wealthy person what they know about how money works and come to your own conclusions.

Also, Keynesianism isn't what people seem to think it is. It's an entirely valid form of economic theory involving manipulation of credit that, like everything else, gets railroaded by politics.

I have a basic understanding of economics but I hate the subject due to my Econ teacher last year. The single worse teacher I have ever made contact with. Ruined the whole field for me.
Economics in general is in my opinion not worth studying. Sure it's interesting but the people who specialise in it seem to think it's paramount and surpasses everything in its validity as a field of study.
