Default obama becomes the first american president to advocate gay marriage

the guy doesnt have the balls to follow through with promises that got him elected but takes an extreme stance on a heated issue mere months before the new election. i dont get it.

i like the cut of his jib
Well, I open my eyes and I see things. I've seen spirits moving through the walls. I've seen a vortex coming through the wall. I've seen amorphous little balls of light bouncing all around in the front yard through the window. I've seen giant bugs on the floor. I was in a hotel room in Amarillo, Texas, and all I remember is standing on the bed and seeing the whole wall in front of me filled with lights that were [makes popping sound] popping like popcorn out of the wall. Then I'll wake up and I go "Wow, I was standing on my bed and staring at this wall."

    1) my views need not align with the country i reside in. also you use the word 'accuse' as if what im saying is untrue. FOR MORE INFORMATION SEE POINT 2.
    2) your state is arguably the most progressive in your nation. gay marriage is still banned in most parts of america. just last week north carolina passed a bill banning even civil unions.
    3) no

there was never an issue of him not getting the liberal vote, but with this he probably lost a lot of homophobes who wouldve still probably voted for him over romney

I think most homophobes weren't going to vote for Obama anyway, so I think this was more for him trying to rekindle the younger voters and people who voted for him in 2008 who were losing interest in him. Most young people support gay marriage, even if they have different political views from Obama. Even if it seems stupid, sometimes a certain stance on one issue is enough to push someone's vote one way or the other.

When I heard about this on CE:

    "Obama officially supports gay marriage!"

    Huh, election year already?

Or like how people claim he is the anti-christ yet he doesn't fit any of the criteria.

but i suppose any amount of blackness would be sufficient incentive to get rid of the overwhelming whiteness pervading the us presidential history
