RMT Rules
First off, there are 2 kinds of rate my teams, in game and competitive teams. Both are accepted here, but you must follow one rule set or the other.
Note: needed things vary from generation to generation, gen 1 teams do not need items and EVs for example
Competitive Teams:
Competitive teams are looked at with the up most scrutiny as in competitive battling, one move and make or break the team, and you can easily change that move if you’re on a simulator. If your a wifi or battle subway battler, please state so or else were going to suggest you use all sorts of hidden powers and ev changes. Competitive teams will follow this general format or else it will be locked until fixed up. You can tweak the format all you want, but everything must be there.
Pokemon @ Item
Trait / Ability: Ability Name
EVs: The evs
Nature of the pokemon
- move 1
- move 2
- move 3
- move 4
Some sort of explanation of what is going on here, at least a sentence you two, explain what it does, and how it works on the team.
You must have 6 of those one for each pokemon. An example pokemon might look like this:
Skarmory @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Spikes
- Whirlwind
Skarmory complements the skarm-bliss core of this team covering a majority of special and physical threats. It also is a great phazer and spiker for this team allowing it to get up hazards damage much easier. The evs maximize its defenses so it can take on physical powerhouses like Salamence and Haxorus much easier.
In game teams:
These are your basic I need help with the elite 4 teams or battle tower, what have you. Basically you post it, we look over the moves, items, and pokemon, since in game is incredibly easy, your team probably only needs to increase in level or needs a few other moves. Please state outright that it is an in game team or else it will be treated competitively. Still follow this general format for in game teams:
Pokemon @ Held Item
Ability
Level: Pokemon's level
-Move 1
-Move 2
-Move 3
-Move 4
An example in game pokemon may look like this:
Golem @ Hard Rock
Rock Head
Level 45
-rock slide
-earthquake
-strength
-explosion
