Gen 5 Threat List
Currently a work in progress.
Note that I did merge a lot of threats because from a defending perspective, they are about equally as dangerous. For example bulky and offensive dragon dance sets on Gyarados when you play against them, you do the same thing. Were as the substitute dragon dance set causes issues for offensive teams trying to check.

Abomasnow
Grass / Ice
Snow Warning / Sound Proof
90 / 92 / 75 / 92 / 85 / 60
Abomasnow is of course the main hail weather pokemon, because its the only one, and ibecause of its mediocre stats and weakness to stealth rock, you don't see hail as much. Abomasnow brings mainly hail to the table for hail stall and blizzard spam, never the less you should be prepared for the monster Christmas tree.
Leech Seed
Easily the most common set, it rounds up Abomasnow support role quite nicely with leech seed support. The leech seed set rarely has anything actually threatening on it, so your best bet is to switch to a grass type, or something with a recovery move. Grass / ice isn't the most amazing coverage either, something like Heatran can take a leech seed or two and scare it out. Beating it is also made easier as they rarely have blizzard instead opting for ice shard which is hilariously weak.
Choice
The choice scarf version is more common, its a solid check to a ton of threats, like before though, its still rather weak and with poor coverage, also because it lacks leftovers and leech seed, its also really weak to hazards. It should rarely be a problem, just be aware that it does exist before you try to sweep over a scarf Abomasnow.
Mixed
This set can be a bit much for defensive cores to handle as it carries HP fire and blizzard and even earthquake to plow through standard counters. However it again is very weak to hazards and is easier checked by anything with respectable speed.

Alakazam
Psychic
Synchronize / Inner Focus / Magic Guard
55 / 50 / 45 / 135 / 85 / 120
Alakazam might look odd to OU, since it dropped to UU last gen, but it got a big bluff with magic guard which makes it immune to hazards, status, and life orb recoil, making it impossible to stall out and a very effective sweeper. Note that Alakazam is very, very frail, and any switch in should be done with caution. The only other set you should be away of here is focus sash Alakazam which makes a very effective check to a ton of things because it can not be killed in one hit ever.
Life Orb Attacker
The standard special Alakazam sweeper, very powerful no doubt. It does have its counters though, such as Jirachi, Blissey, and Chansey, it can also be checked by Scizor. Tyranitar can also work if you get lucky with the focus blast miss. One should be aware the substitute is very common on alakazam, so if your on an offensive team, its not suggested that you switch out as its just going ti sub up then kill a pokemon or two.
Calm Mind
The calm mind sweeper is a bit more dangerous because after a boost or two, it can pretty much 1HKO everything in the tier outside of the regular counters, which still counter it. It also makes it a bit more difficult to check it because of the special defense boost, meaning bulky waters can no only take a hit and kill it in return like the life orb set. The main issue with this set though, is its frailty, hitting it once before it gets its boosts pretty much leaves you with a dead alakazam.

Amoonguss
Poison / Grass
Effect Spore / Regenerator
114 / 85 / 70 / 85 / 80 / 30
Amoonguss, got spore, 100% sleep pretty much means a dead pokemon in this metagame, spore alone gives it instant utility. On top of that Amoonguss is also able to combat many of the new threats of the black and white metagame including Keldeo and Breloom. It also gets regenerator which allows it to regain heal just by switching, making it an excellent pivot.
Specially Defensive
The main Amoonguss set, allowing it to combat Keldeo well enough, Amoonguss has a pretty respectable defense stat as well so it can easily combat Breloom. Amoonguss is very weak to hurricane abuse and can't take on the strongest physical hits. Also its poor special attack means pretty much anything not weak to gigadrain or HP ice can come in after it spores something.

Blissey
Normal
Natural Cure / Serene Grace / Healer
255 / 10 / 10 / 75 / 135 / 55
Blissey is still the premier special wall of OU, don't you doubt that. It does face some fierce competition though with Chansey who because of eviolite which takes both special and physical hits better. Blissey does still have more survivability vs sandstorm because of leftovers and useable special attack.
Special Wall + Utility
The main set your going to see, it takes special attacks as well as ever. Chansey will almost always carry toxic and seismic toss to beat the special threats it needs to. The kind of utility is brings to the table is usually via wish, aromatherapy, or stealth rock. Blissey is about as much of set up fodder as you can get though, something like Conkeldurr can come in no problem and bulk up all it wants, lum berry dragons also have no issue coming in. Blissey is even fodder for defensive pokemon, Skarmory and Ferrothorn can come in on seismic toss all day and set up. Mixed attackers like Hydregion and Tornadus with superpower and also beat it, as well as many calm minders like Reuniclus and Jirachi.

Breloom
Fighting / Grass
Effect Spore / Poison Heal / Technician
60 / 130 / 80 / 60 / 60 / 70
Breloom is our second toxic mushroom of the tier, and like Amoonguss it also learns the deadly spore. Unlike amoongus though Breloom is much more offensive with its amazing 130 attack stat. Breloom also gets poison heal to stick around or technician to destroy things with bullet seed. Breloom is a very dangerous and common pokemon in the meta, be sure to prepare for it.
Choice Band
Choice band breloom is especially dangerous because of technician. For example, one can use low sweep, to seriously damage anything that switches in, not only that but that switch in loses it's speed, allowing you to effectively 2HKO even resists like Tornadus, Thundurus-T, and Lati@s. Bullet seed in amazingly strong with Breloom, giving you a good chance to 1HKO even Gliscor. Choice band does have its counters though, Skarmory and Amoonguss can effectively wall it out, and with the right prediction, so can most walls if they come in on the right move.
