A World In Distress [Semi+]

[kratos]

Kratos: "Careful. I'm here, too, you know. Holy Aura doesn't protect me from poison." Kratos began to charge up a ball of energy in his hands the same color as the Holy Aura, then he fired the orb at the Demon King. The orb impacted him, but the Demon King got back up, relatively unharmed.

[Kardossino]

IC: "Then get behind us." we said. "Great Shadow shield." we muttred, and a black orb surrounded us, protecting all in the arena but the Demon king from this storm.

[kratos]

Kratos: "Normally, Holy Aura would prevent dark and shadow powers from being used. I guess I'm not at full power here."
Demon King: "You can't defeat me that easily in my own kingdom."
Kratos: "Xirriko, keep him budy. I'll try to summong Latias back in a temporary body for Armor Fusion."

[Kardossino]

IC: "Will do." we said. "Shadow Illusion: Target Halucination!" A wave of dark energy shot toward the Demon King, which would then strike him and send him through illusion after illusion of who knows what.

[kratos]

Demon King: "What is this trickery? These images. They can't be real." While the Demon King was distracted, Kratos began his summoning ability as a spiritualist.
Kratos: "I call upon you, my old friend, to return and aid me in this battle. I summon you. Come, Latias." In a flash of light, Latias appears in front of Kratos, completely unharmed.
Latias: "There must be some dire need if you called me back from the grave. What's wrong?"
Kratos: "We need the armor fusion that we used last time we fought the Demon King." Latias nodded her head in agreement to the fusion. Both she and Kratos began to glow and float into the air. When the light faded, Kratos' armor had changed significantly so that he looked almost like he was wearing a Latias costume.
Kratias(needless to say, their fused form): "Now, it's on."

[Kardossino]

IC: We knew the demon king would be distracted until either we dropped the illusion, or we were hurt by the demon king. To stay on the safe side, we began launching blasts of energy at a distance.

[kratos]

Kratias: "There's nothing to fear, Xirriko. Latias' body is completely immune to demonic energy as am I. He doesn't stand a chance now." Kratias shifted his focus to the ground and caused several crystals to erupt out of it. "Those crystals are completely at my control. It's my Crystal Weaver Jutsu. You fight him. I'll block for you with them and don't be afraid to break them."

[Kardossino]

IC: We smiled. "Good." we said. "Let's finsih this. Shadow Blast: Great Shadow Thunder!" A massive blast of dark energy erupted from our hands, traveling toward the demon king, where it would slam into him and send him flying across the battle arena.

[kratos]

Kratias: Kratias moved the crystals out of the way to allow the energy to pass without any obstacles to weaken it. The energy slammed hard into the Demon King, but it didn't finish him. "I'll take him." The crystals began to gather in the air around the Demon King, then they closed in tight around him. "Crystal Grave."The crystals took on a jagged edge and were sent through the Demon King. "Crystal Cutlery."
Demon King: "Enough. You both are powerful. I concede defeat."

[Kardossino]

OOC: I'm glad this hasn't died yet. Sorry I haven't been on in a while

IC: "I'm not sure whether or not he's faking it." We said. "If he is, It's not safe to drop the illusion. Kratos, what do you think?"

[kratos]

Kratias: "It's Kratias in this fused form. And it's ok. Even if he is faking it, this armor can absorb any attack he can throw." Kratias turned back to the Demon King. "And he knows that all too well. He also knows he can't split the fusion."

[Kardossino]

IC: "Very well then." We said. "Illusion drop." we whispered. A flash of light passed, and with that, the demon king's hallucinations were over. "Now, we are the great demon king."

OOC: I forgot to have we instead of I in my previous post! *goes to change post*

[kratos]

Demon King: "You have indeed proven yourself worthy. Aren't you going to finish me off? It is custom that the new Demon King finish off the previous one."

[Kardossino]

IC: "If you insist." we said. holding up an assasin's knife, we plunged it into the throat of the demon king.

the king's body convulsed once, then lay on the ground, dead. It was over.

[kratos]

Kratias: "Well that seemed rather extreme, but I guess since it is tradition." As Kratias said that, the time for the Armor Fusion ran out, causing him to split apart back into Kratos and Latias.
Kratos: "Conveniant that lasted as long as it did."

[Kardossino]

IC: "He asked for us to finish him off." we said simply. "And it would have been dishonorable for us to not do so. As you said, it is tradition."

[kratos]

Kratos: "I am aware. Both Latias and myself remember everything that happens while we're in fused form and we heard his request." I sighed. "So, what becomes of us now that we've beaten Abyssion and you've been named Demon King? As I recall, you were searching for a bounty on me. What made you change your mind?"

[Kardossino]

IC: "Abyssion." We said. "After he almost double-crossed us, we decided that he was expendable, and you need not be killed. However, there was one other factor. When we first met in battle, you said you once sealed Xia in your life. You never told us when you had at the time, and we are unable to remember when you could have done so. We made it as part of our personal agenda to figure who you sealed Xia in, when you did it, and any other information as such. Explain to us. Now."

[kratos]

Kratos: "Very well. It was nearly 3500 years ago when my instructor in magic was killed. From that day, I vowed to bring down every demon like the one that killed him. I managed to slay many, but there was one I couldn't. That was Xia. Our battle raged for 3 days straight, neither of us making any head way. Eventually, I was left with no choice. I sealed him within an ally of mine who was also intent on slaying demons as I was. To this day, I no longer remember my ally's name, but it was probably one of Jerriko's ancestors. We lost contact quickly after that because it wasn't long after that before I met up with Yuan, my batosai instructor. I abandoned my ally, wanting only to become more powerful and I had no idea what became of him."

[Kardossino]

IC: "Interesting." we said. "That one was the first to have Xia sealed up, according to legend. No, it was to an ancestor of us. That one wasn't even a Banwraith, as we are. The tribe of Banwraiths extracted Xia from that one, killed him, and so began the tradition of sealing Xia."

[kratos]

Kratos: "I suppose so. Well, regardless, if there's anymore questions about your past, I might be able to fill in the answers."

[Kardossino]

OOC: Sorry I haven't been on in a while, but like my banner that I put up right before I left said-I was gone for two weeks on vacation. Now where to we go from here?
