Default Got offered a place to study abroad next year...........

    In Norway!!!!!
Well, I open my eyes and I see things. I've seen spirits moving through the walls. I've seen a vortex coming through the wall. I've seen amorphous little balls of light bouncing all around in the front yard through the window. I've seen giant bugs on the floor. I was in a hotel room in Amarillo, Texas, and all I remember is standing on the bed and seeing the whole wall in front of me filled with lights that were [makes popping sound] popping like popcorn out of the wall. Then I'll wake up and I go "Wow, I was standing on my bed and staring at this wall."

University of Bergen. Looked up information on Norway all day instead of studying for my midterm tomorrow, it looks like I might be more suited to it than Amsterdam. They even have a Norwegian word for their socially awkward cultural tendencies like never speaking to strangers in public, never opening doors for people etc.. I know I'm extroverted but when it's nine o' clock on a Monday morning, I don't want to talk you. I think I might be falling in love.

unless you can go somewhere you want to more, why not.

plus learning norweigan would be cool because its such a niche language

    a major country speaks it

but a small enough major country that few people outside that country bother to try to learn it.

so knowing it would be useful enough but also rare and therefor interesting.

Learning Norwegian could be cool but most people in Scandinavian countries speak English fluently so you could easily live there the rest of your life without bothering to learn it.

Then again I've been teaching myself Swedish for fun the past few months even though there's probably never going to be a day where I could use it in real life. :P

Scandinavian languages are neat, much more fun to learn than Spanish.

learning spanish is so easy since i know french. i've kind of stalled on it lately but getting to the point to be able to read newspaper articles and short stories with google translate was incredibly easy. i need to hurry up and finish with it so i can start something more ambitious like german.

Learning Norweigan would be pretty awesome actually, Scandinavian languages are rather romantic so it would probably be beneficial to my writing career to expose myself to such vintage similes. And imagine if I were to start a band over there, we could be like a Norweigan Sigur Rós, with our lyrics being made up of English, French, Irish, Norweigan and (of course) an imaginary language. That would be the dream.

I've decided I'm going to accept it. Bengal tigers and female Norweigans share some startling similarities in my life. I've wanted one ever since I was a child and, despite never being provided anything more than secondhand proof of their existence, I knew that someday I would end up domesticating one of them. Today I will be one step closer to make this far-fetched dream a reality.

What makes German gain a few weeks over the other supposed "easy" languages is mainly the grammar from what I've heard.

Well he was wrong because German really is the easiest language for native English speakers.
