i was a fan ever since Sounding The Seventh Trumpet where they screamed too much. The lead vocalist (M. Shadows) had a throat strain after screaming so much. Their style has changed since then, too.
I can't remember who got me into them, but, yeah, they've always been one of my top 10 bands for as long as I can remember.

They are overrated as fuck. Guitars aren't even that good and M Shadows can't sing that well.
Overrated? I don't think so, their style is really good and they have a lot of talent.

I saw them with Coheed last year in Atlanta. Fuck Avenged Sevenfold, seriously. Their sound is shit.
Furthermore: What the fuck is up with the video to Bat Country? If Hunter S. Thompson came back from the dead and saw that, he'd just kill himself all over again.
