Default for all the pros of having every song ever easily available on youtube

nothing was better than back in the day hearing the song you wanted to hear come on the radio when there was no viable option of hearing it otherwise

I like the radio because I can't remember song names at all.

I still listen to the radio a lot, and only download songs I really want to listen to over and over again.

it is funny how technically obsolete technology turns out to be quite useful, relevant and valuable in the modern era

i don't think "nostalgia" or "ignorance" are the only reason. there's some psychological satisfaction in using old technology, it feels like you've actually done more of the work yourself. youtubing a song devalues music, the same way as modern agriculture is more efficient but tilling crops by hand just feels more natural and is psychologically more rewarding

speaking on MODERN TECHNOLOGY it's increasingly annoying me. like when i see a group of people just on smartphones or something i feel legitimately somewhat angry for reasons i can't really ascertain. also i get extremely annoyed when like i walk into a store or something and i see signs beseeching me to like them on facebook.

probably right before myspace in i guess earlyish 2005 was the high point in terms of technological integration with day to day life regarding having efficient usage but not being too annoying
