If you really want to see some good design, check out the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. It has something for everyone, from fans of the ancient world, through the Renaissance, and all the way up to the present day. I particularly like the metalwork exhibitions. More on topic (why is it I can't resist drifting from a topic?), those great big glass towers that have been springing up in London aren't half as nice to look at as St. Paul's Cathedral.
