Thrown in jail for 3 months because of offensive text? what the fuck is wrong with the UK and how have they allowed their government to get this way?

Oh in fairness he was making constant remarks about how funny it was that a 5 year old was raped and murdered. Not that I'd expect you guys to understand why raping a child is wrong seeing as you can't grasp why paedophilia isn't socially acceptable, but in this case I don't think him getting a minor sentence in a soft jail was a bad thing considering a 50 strong mob were outside his house trying to get to him. Jail time means they'll feel like justice was served and he won't get killed in the street.

the issue is whether someone should be able to be held legally culpable for something like this. it is absurd to imagine they should. if safety was truly the issue they could assign a 24-hour police watch outside his house.
