Just wrote my first undergraduate essay
Boy is it bad, I mean the content's good but I've completely fucked up every single aspect of the prescribed essay style. Just wondering if everyone's first coursework essay was like this... you fucked up a lot of the style or you got it pretty quickly?
I'm tempted to send it to someone who is pretty good at writing shitty university essays so they can tell me if it's good but I guess it's a long shot

oh yeah i guess some professors use that online program that scans the internet. i wonder if they would catch forums like this. either way it wouldnt be plagiarism, it would just expose your seedy online identity.
it's not finished, i have to write a conclusion, a bibliography and finish the footnotes by the end of tonight. also a cover sheet. i hope you have been in similar positions.

Already wrote a philosophy paper (which I got a B+ on) and a Polysci research paper (which I have yet to get back). I've never found writing style that hard to catch on to, but I think that's more of a personal talent. It was especially easy with the research paper, since the majority of time I spent "writing" it I was reading other papers related to my topic.

Paper writing is really a labor of love Hicky, NO ONE writes "well" on a first draft. Howard Zin is arguably the best essayist in history in the past 50 years in America and HE had upwards of 4 drafts before getting something published. Mind you his drafts were edited by "professional" editors that spend their lives doing that shit. All and all you are a freshman, don't beat yourself up over one paper.
