alright listen. that image actually has nothing to do with the hippos thread. it was just an image made in some random thread (probably the relationship thread) when someone (probably mex) mentioned hungry hungry hippos. a couple weeks later, i made the Hippos thread, which was basically just a picture of a hippo roaring. It was historically notable because it was the first thread on PD that had absolutely no pretense of a topic, was just unbridled spam and debauchery for several pages, but didn't get touched by the mods.
