Real talk, when I first played AoE, I had no fuckin clue what was going on. I was a kid when I first played it, no clue what I'm doing, and just see this town center surrounded by black. I didn't know how to control the villagers or anything. I just stared at the screen. Then out of nowhere, fuckin armies started wreaking my shit.

Terrified me as a kid.

First time I ever saw it was when TA and I were kids and he was playing the trial version of aoe 1. I don't know why I liked it so much then, maybe it was the suspense of what was going to happen next I don't know, but I distinctly remember that memory in my head vividly. I used to ask him to play it and let me watch just for fun but TA was a dick sometimes and forced me to do it and I sucked so hard. In the end my mom and dad gave it to me and I have been cutting that wood ever sense.




*readers note: half way through this I knew how gay it sounded but kept on going anyways like any good aoe player would purposely choosing words to make it sound gayer.
