    Default architecture you like

been noticing myself have stronger feelings of approval/disapproval about buildings etc lately. post buildings etc you like here.

    favorite building in philadelphia:

so stately and elegant. dont know why i like it in particular so much, its not really an exceptional piece of architecture, or i guess i'd find more pictures of it. just how stately it is, how the window frames work with the building, the color of the stone and the symmetry. plus the base of the building has a nice sculpted marble look that you cant see here.

I hate pointless art deco on shopping stores. Case and point:

note the giant triangular prism over the entrance for no reason but to look cool, that's it, its not even a billboard or anything, just a giant triangular prism as a roof

I don't go through life looking for buildings I like, I find buildings I hate.

But they let you see everything outside and let tons of light in. Although you would need a fairly private area for it to actually work.

    I agree with God here.

You know what I do like, basements / janitor closets with small work tables in the corner with all sorts of dangerous tools. Its nice to know someone down there is really doing shit.

I love wooden buildings. I want to own a log cabin someday.

I agree. I don't even like glass railing things (what is it called?) for staircases. Give me good old fashioned banisters anyday.
