airbnb. 15 minute bike ride. im well aware.
Legit though Pichubro is dropping out?
i get my own decently sized room in a fairly large place. sure isnt worth 1200 but you'd be hard pressed to find ANYTHING under a 1000 bucks in this city.
That's liberal hospitality for you. If you see anything related to Michael Savage in that city can you take a picture of it and post it on here? haha That would be funny.
For future reference, was this internship directly from your university or did you apply for it through a third party. Do you think they chose you more so because of your university name or because they choose most people in that skill set because they are few and far between to be qualified to do it?
i applied through the company's website. i was familiar with the technologies they were working with and came across as not a dumbass in the interviews. dont think my university mattered much.
Really? Huh, that's pretty cool. Was there a search engine you used for these types of jobs or did you know exactly what company you wanted etc.
i applied because a friend of mine applied to the same company and got an interview. i didnt expect anything to come out of it.
though there ARE search engines for shit like this. internmatch.com comes to mind.
also facebook, google, apple etc did come to my university but they turn their noses up at freshmen.
It is very impressive though for a freshman summer and that's what really surprises me. You must know shit. What won't surprise me is how you'll be making twice my salary when you graduate! haha
which is precisely why i have no desire to suck dick for mewtwo's job
But a lawyer will be making twice yours when he graduates from a good school. haha
what of the major tech companies would you most want to work for
I wonder where MIT people go to get hired.
the same places. at my current workplace, in a team of 12 people, there are two from stanford, one from harvard, four from berkeley.
none from mit but im assuming the only metric you give a shit about is prestige of the university so the point stands
lol Harvard, what a joke for computer science. I wonder though, MIT HAS to have some sway in the grand scheme of things or it wouldn't be MIT.
not really. at least, not in the tech industry because in the tech industry no one really gives a shit about your degree.
also the harvard chick isnt an engineer. i forgot what she majored in. probably something stupid.
