Default If You Never Tried It How Do You Really Know You Don't Like It (i.e. bad)?

What kind of fallacy is that? Appeal to Ignorance?

I think its validity is situationally based on the risk/reward assessment.

    1. We like or dislike doing something based on our experience doing it (premise)
    2. To know you dislike something you must have done it (1)
    3. You have not done X (premise)
    4. You do not know if you like or dislike X (2 and 3)

i dont know if its any kind of logical fallacy. if anything its an epistemological controversy.

I think the issue arrises with the definition of "like." I define "like" as "right" in this context. With this, what kind of fallacy is it?

Do you mean ethically, or just a "good decision", like a health choice?

    what a stupid question

how can you like/dislike something without trying something? you can dislike/like the concept of an experience without trying it, you can't dislike/like the experience without EXPERIENCING it

    you guys are retarded
Well, I open my eyes and I see things. I've seen spirits moving through the walls. I've seen a vortex coming through the wall. I've seen amorphous little balls of light bouncing all around in the front yard through the window. I've seen giant bugs on the floor. I was in a hotel room in Amarillo, Texas, and all I remember is standing on the bed and seeing the whole wall in front of me filled with lights that were [makes popping sound] popping like popcorn out of the wall. Then I'll wake up and I go "Wow, I was standing on my bed and staring at this wall."

nobody uses that quote to justify a moral/ethical decision, and if they do they're an idiot.

Yes the statement is for idiots but defining like as right what would the fallacy be?

    Hmm

    Argument from Fallacy

If the original statement was "I haven't tried it, I do not like it."

This may also be a case of Begging the Question, mainly of by that logic, should I try this? On the same not there also may be a bit of Circling Reasoning here, as the person presenting this is assuming that you should try it

False dilemma and Single Cause, there may be other outside reasons why one does not try it

    This is a Loaded Question.

that is a stupid question because the mind is capable to extrapolate. it's as if i asked:
"how could you not "like" having sex with under aged children if you never tried it?"

for most, the concept is disgusting and can agree that it is morally wrong.
*morally wrong= decrease of happiness, health, well-being and the proliferation of unnecessary pain and suffering.

*this is what i see as morally wrong and is the definition i use.

You realize that this is primarily used in benign scenarios such as:

How do you know you wouldn't like an banana-graham cracker sandwich dipped in milk if you've never tried one?

I am a firm believer in don't knock it 'till you try it.
    Just do it.

I guess you can reject something on a theoretical basis without empirical testing.

"Some people are big supporters but I don't think I like rape even though I haven't tried it."
