Default why is your home state the best

or worst, if thats how you feel about it

    massachusetts

-experiencing all 4 seasons is great and our summers aren't unbearable like down south

-the history and location. near boston, plymouth, the cape. about a hundred different beaches and ski areas.

-if you're bored here you're not trying hard enough. amazing towns, hiking spots, beaches, clam shacks, star watching, whale watching, agricultural fairs, museums. most are free.

-for somebody interested in learning massachusetts is one of the most relevant parts of the country in multiple fields

-where mass leads others follow. Public schools, slavery, colleges, libraries, gay rights, voting against Nixon, universal insurance, etc.

-we're more liberal than california and on the right coast. plus trees everywhere. it's the closest you'll get to living in europe without a visa

pa is alright but frankly theres no arguing against ma. philly is a cool city and the immediate surrounding areas are alright, plus its easy coast and has a good climate. but half the state is a third world republican voting shithole.

I'll have you know I live in that third of the state and it isn't that bad. It's nice around here, but if you're not outdoorsy or into a local music scene there isn't too much to do.

This. Although the northeastern part is kind of a blend of New York/New Jerseyite and redneck. It's strange.
