    Default For drug-users

What are your limitations with drugs? Is there a type of drug you think is okay, and a type you think is not? Why are you allowed to make these judgements?

Personally I approve of psychadelics, MDMA and marijuana, but anything else at all makes me quite nauseous to think about and I disapprove of heavily.

in general lsd has been known to exacerbate symptoms of people who already have a mental illness, but in terms of toxicity its really one of the safest drugs out there

thats just a dumb post hicky

what sets psychedelics apart from anything else? they do not actually offer you profound insight into anything besides fucking tripping balls lol and they are not 'cool'

sorry i really can't think of any other reason why you would find those to be okay over other drugs besides just trying to be unique and cool

I guess it's just an irrational thing. An automatic disdain

I think I emphasised that I had no real reason to think that with the question, "Why are you allowed to make these judgements?" I guess I can just imagine psychadelics playing a legitimate part in some kind of perfect society, whereas I can't imagine people permanently coked up in a blissful utopia

Psychedelics offer a shift in subjective state, as such they can be spiritually or intellectually enlightening. A powerful trip can be just as life-changing as learning a new language, engaging a new culture, etc.

Lots of people would argue psychedelics enable the opposite as it allows people to see through structural / dogmatic thinking they've been indoctrinated into by society, or how our realities are shaped by the arbitrary lines we draw to impose order and separate ourselves from an otherwise chaotic system. A rebellion against this supposed utopia then takes place in the mind.

This could all be inaccurate, I've yet to do psychedelics, but it seems to be a prevailing opinion online.
