This thread is here to make me feel bad that I don't have a 3DS.
I don't have a 3DS either.

I thought this forum would be a bit livelier during XY's release. Kind of sad that isn't the case.
Because we have to buy a whole new system to play it.
also because nothing happens on the main site so why would a new release spur people to come here.
My initial thoughts on playing yesterday:
-the variety of Pokemon here is stupefying, be prepared to make some hard decisions for your team because there are a lot of options from all the past games
-I love how big the routs are here, there is so much to do and explore
-the new fairy types kind of blow so far
-I have mixed feeling on roller skating, for one its great to get around with, the problem is you have no choice but to use it with the round pad, in order to move normally you have to use the d-pad which is kind of in an awkward position
I'm doing the next best thing by watching a Let's Play and I love what I'm seeing so far, it's pretty cool how far the series has come. I also like how they changed up the formula a bit in the beginning, with the group of kids with you. ^_^
I actually hate the group of kids subplot, I kind of just mash the a button until they stop talking... at one point today that put me in a loop because apparently I lied and said I got some stone myself when the dancing kid gave it to me. "YOU LIAR!" -- Daning Kid lol
another problem I am running into is that the badges aren't set up to correspond to the levels right, I was like 2 levels away from not being able to control my Pokemon at one point
I don't really like Fennekin's evolutions :/
Chespin has the worst ones though
Doublade is what's wrong with new generations of pokemon. It's a pair of floating swords. Mad ghetto.
My 3DS was pickpocketed over the summer. Damn calgary transit.
How the hell do pairs of floating swords and electrified refrigerators/lawn mowers reproduce?
