# Thread: Pokemon X and Pokemon Y: Friend Safari

1. dude, i've been trying to get people to do things like this on so many different places. I haven't tried smogon yet, but i doubt people will do a list comprehensive as this.

i even posted on in a group on Facebook called Gay Trainers Association (GTA for short). Seems like no one wants to participate :'c

2. smogon has a list but its really shitty

honestly leo, this was a thing like 2 months ago, by now most of the serious breeders have all the Pokemon they need

3. well, i'm also trying to do an online calculator that will figure out your FS...

5. The pokemon found in your friend safari is random. But the type isn't. which is why I want to figure this thing out!!

6. I have flying.

Spearow, Tranquill, Rufflet.

In case you still wanted to add people Leo xP

I'm always happy to do so.
Also, what is your Mii name and your Pokémon Trainer in game name?

8. I'm so confused about the mechanics of the Friend Safari. The Pokémon are not random. I have 2 3DS and both copies of the game (well, had).

At the time when I own both copies, I would interchange them with the 3DS'.
If I used Pokémon X or Pokémon Y on 3DS A, the Friend Safari type and the Pokémon found in them would remain the same. If I changed it to 3DS B it would change to the other safari type.

This means that the Friends Code determines the Type of Safari and all 3 Pokémon. So, there must be an equation that all the games do to determine your Friend Safari. I want to figure this equation out and create an online calculator.

9. I think my Mii name right now is Danielle and my Trainer name is Dani.

It might be possible to not break the code unless you work for Game Freak. :/ There are still many equations of pokemon that are invisible to people but we know they exist.

10. I'm thinking it's having to do with converting the friends code into binary and then have sum checks equal certain types. from there each ... uh... I suppose I can use octet would represent the Pokémon in the safari. the last octet represents the 3rd Pokémon you unlock after the Elite 4. and the first 2 represent the other Pokémon you can already capture.... hmm.....

---------------------------------------------------------------

so I've been converting number into hex and then back to binary, doing math, and now my head hurts.... I know that they use 16bits and combine them in a clever way to determine the Pokémon... somehow...

11. First on the Ice list, hell yeah.
