Fundamentally it's a good idea in some ways... But I feel like there needs to be... More competition maybe? I mean... Everyone, at birth, is equal. But... Some are more intelligent, some are more talented, some work harder... So they shouldn't really get everything... EQUAL from the government.
But everyone is equal. Problem isn't the lack of competition but the sad human need to be greedy. If people would just always do what they need to do not because it benifits them but the human race then communism could work.
I agree with that also. I agree with a LOT of things politically, that conflict. People should get what they work for. But in a perfect world they should also all get the same treatment. I'm very noninterventionist but at the same time... Idk. I love politics but I'm very on the fence. I do recognize myself as a definite social liberal.
no, people are "more intelligent and talented" BECAUSE no one is equal at birth. people who become rich 99% of the time do so because they were born rich; in the most capitalist countries economic mobility is by far the worst.
"hard work" has nothing to do with what people get because poor people always work harder than rich people. rich people literally just sit around making dumb decisions and getting paid lots of money for it. the average retail worker works 1000% harder than that company's CEO.
well i mean sure people are 'equal' at birth, but it is the circumstances of the person's birth that will wholly determine how 'intelligent and talented' they become, 99% of the time, because people are completely a product of their environment and culture. if you are born rich you are almost guaranteed to stay rich; same as if you are born poor. "hard work" has nothing to do with it. in fact the people who work the hardest get the least and the people who work the least hard get the most. which is why capitalism doesn't work and wealth should forcefully be redistributed and why private ownership of the means of production is an awful idea.

look i wouldnt claim to be a scholar on the particularities of the american education system but from all ive heard and seen its almost pathetically easy to get a scholarship into a ivy league school if you put in some effort and youre not completely retarded. the complaint about a lack of opportunity is illogical because opportunity to become affluent exists for every member of a capitalist society like america, some people just have to work harder to get at it than others and despite it depending on the environment and the condition in which they grow up in, the disparity in the in the population between those who have it easy and those who dont is a fact of life. the enforcement of communist principles might even the odds a bit it wont change that.
also correlation/causation are you kidding me. the us and uk (the us being by far the most insane and right wing developed nation, with the uk being second but still far behind. either way they're just about in a league of their own) have far worse economic mobility than more 'socialist' european nations. they also have far less social services. i think one can easily see that those social services particularly would affect opportunities to obtain education and have better labor standards, both of which affect economic mobility. so yes there is a clear "CAUSATION" here.

talent and intelligence are for the most part products of an environment. if someone lives in an environment conducive towards formal education and with parents highly support of educational attainment then they are much more likely to become 'intelligent and talented'.

I think God is right. People born with more money have more opportunity to make more money than someone born in poverty, BUT with a little luck and a crap load of hard work, a role reversal may occur.
