different school system calm down.
different school system calm down.
I would debate for as long as time itself that USA school system is flawed and British is dominant.
England has been statistically better then America when it comes to School Systems if I remember correctly
When the Devil is too busy
And Death's a bit too much
They call on me by name you see,
For my special touch.
Statistics can be easily manipulated especially with the vast population gap.
I don't know much about British school systems, but America is almost certainly better.
please tell me if I missed an easy really witty response i could've gave.
public school systems here are pretty terrible, I wouldn't be surprised if Britains was better.
it really depends on what school district you go to when you refer to public schools. for instance, my public school district is considered an excellent one yet cities like Waterbury and Hartford are considered some of the worst in the state. Probably the reasoning behind this is the ethnic, economic and educational levels of the people living the towns. It seems like the bigger the city is, the worse its school system tends to be (though I'm sure there are exceptions).
Delaware is supposed to have absolutely horrid public school systems across the state, so in that instance I guess economics don't really have much of a factor in that. Some systems are probably just really terrible by default and it doesn't matter what the surrounding circumstances are.
we have awesome school systems
we get so smart we can leave school at 15-16
Anything pre college doesn't matter at all in todays world so why do we even care enough to debate quality.
We have kids graduating from college at 12 years oldYou failed.
And any homeschooled kid in the Pennsylvania school system can forgoe their last two years of high school and be halfway to a college degree (albeit from local colleges), completely free. Not only that, but certain colleges will also take these students free for another two years, and from there they have discounts on other college funds. We win. Eve.
That's bullshit, Nocturne. How often do you hear of someone graduating from college at age 12? It happens, but only once in a blue moon. It doesn't mean anything.
Yes and I feel bad for those kids. They have horrible social skills, are really fat, and I bet about 70% end up 45 year old virgins because they have no chance to interact with the opposite gender.
you have no proof of that. have you personally met a 12-year-old college graduate? I thought not.
it's true, however, that gifted children tend to have either decreased emotional or physical maturity. it's sort of like a sacrifice for their intellectual maturity in a way. However, that's not to say that all gifted children lack social skills. Maybe you've just met a few gifted people on the autism spectrum.
The kids who graduate from college at 12 are no so much "gifted children" as they are "submissive children with psycho agressive perfectionist parents who need to live out their broken dreams through ruin their children's lives with ridiculous expectations"
to be fair school in general sucks so arguing which system is better is the equivalent of arguing who has the cooler type of cancer
