Most useful/powerful/overall best legendary pair...

Before the renovation, I made a thread called "Best Legendary Trio?" and we ended up talking about legendary pairs -_- so i might as well start one.
according to our forum, i predict lugia and ho-oh will win. but now with diamond and pearl out, who knows?
I may remake the legendary trio thread, btw. Depends.

mewtwo and mew would be hard against palkia and dialga, but seeing that there has been no pokemon that could defeat mewtwo or mew I'm going with them. Mewtwo's willpower and brute strength could easily take one of them not to mention mew who is just as powerful.

If two powerful Dark Pokemon were to come up against Mew/Mewtwo, the Psychic pair could be defeated if the Dark Pokemon were trained well/strong enough. Nearly ANY Pokemon can be defeated.

It would have to be mewtwo and mew. First they can both use fighting attacks, second, in the tv shows it might not be very effective but unless it's normal or fighting against ghost all moves work on all pokemon, third, Nintendo called mewtwo the ultimate pokemon, it'd be one hell of a movie if a new pokemon tried to take mewtwo's title, and fourth, because mew has the genetic makeup of all pokemon and mewtwo is it's clone they should know the strengths, weaknesses, and abilities of every pokemon.

Mew actually wins all because it can learn every single TM existent, certainly one is effective against dark tyoe. Still, I think Ho oh/lugia is still my fave.

i vote ho-oh and lugia, because mewtwo was a manmade pokemon; thus, he isn't exactly a "Pokemon", but an "attempt to create a Pokemon, which succeeded but ended in the near-apocalypse of the world until it was banished by a pink bubble."
