Actually, Lyra is. In the episode, 'Gone with the Windworks', Lyra says to Dawn, "If you were to get married here, who would you choose?" Dawn says bitterly "I don't know". Lyra says "I would choose Ash!". "Ash is determined to do what he wants to do and is very confident". "That is why I admire him".
So, is that enough proof for you that Lyra is best for Ash?
