Should my son trade one of his cards?
OK, first off I'm new to the whole pokemon thing. My six year old son is just getting into the cards and we recently purchased him a "Dragon Frontiers" starter deck. It came with about 70 or so cards, amongst them was a Typholsion. Well, some kids at his summer camp have offered to trade him 3 Onyx cards for his Typhlosion. Now, my first instinct is to tell him not to do this, but I also realize I know absolutely nothing about whether or not this is a good trade or not.
Any advice?
Thanks

Whatever.
Depends. I stopped collecting cards years ago, but as far as I know, Onyx is worthless compared to Typhlosion.

Should be in the trading card section but meh no one looks in there anyway. It depends on the rarity of the cards (common, uncommon, rare and whether it's a holo), but frankly I'll say don't trade.

No. never. Onix in any amount will not match up to typhlosion.

No. Onix has always sucked. You should read the rule book that came with the deck so you understand how the game and cards work then you can tell when a card sucks or rocks. Now if they were giving two Onix and it's evolution, Steelix, I would say think hard on what cards you need to make your ideal deck.

Ok I would just stop since these people never come back for an answer.

Well, I'm back. First - apologies for not posting in the correct forum.
Second - My main goal in posting here to begin with was to get some more experienced opinions and hopefully not let my son get taken advantage of by older kids.
Thanks for the advice, I'm telling him not to trade it.
