both movies absolutely ruined the oompa-loompas. quite a shame, because the oompa-loompas were the best thing in the entire book, especially their songs. "Augustus Gloop, Augustus Gloop, the great big fat nincompoop..."
but the first movie had that trippy scene on the boat! It's one of my all time favorite movie scenes EVER
