I have never heard of the bacon cob but it sounds disgusting.
I'm not pro-American in any way, shape or form, but it's worth taking that stance just so I can ruffle Ed's feathers.

That's what Scotland, one small part of Britain, invented and discovered. And we made your navy, bitch.
Ed.

And your country.
Ed.
And we wrested the colonies away from the mother country with a substantially smaller population. Kinda sad to think that England couldn't beat some poorly armed peasants with their ultra-savvy army, equipped to the brim with the latest weapons.

That was South America, retard.
We wrestled our own colonies away from ourselves. America was full of British people (and Germans, but you don't like to talk about them) when it broke away from the English crown.
Ed.
DS, you're wrong. The Spanish colonized Mexico and part of the Southwestern states.

Editor, your an idiot.

And how is that, exactly?
And DS, I'm sorry for calling you a retard. I thought Walrus had said that the Spanish colonised North America.
Ed.

Walrus is pretty smart.
walrus knows EVERYTHING
srsly
Well, you're partially correct. The Spanish did a lot of exploring in the 1500s -- in fact, although Christopher Colombus wasn't Spanish (he was Italian) he was sponsored by the king and queen of Spain at the time of his discovery of the Americas. Shortly afterwards, a lot of Spanish explorers began marking out the territory, though I don't believe they ever went above the southern US. The German, French, Dutch and English did that instead.

Face facts, people: Britain made America. And then the Scottish gave it a navy. Go us!
Ed.

well you DO know everything. i mean come on
you must have an incredibly good ability to retain factsWell, you're partially correct. My only A I've ever gotten was in sex education.

And we had the Industrial Revolution... Iron ships that were now statistically likely to survive crossing the Atlantic, anyone?
Ed.
I have an above average rote memory, but when it comes to things like faces and other interpersonal things, I fail miserably. I can't recall my own family members' faces unless I think of a specific picture, even if I saw them just a few minutes ago.

Wikipedia = Source of Walrus' knowledge.
