Meep. Basically, we discuss a different book each day, the pros and cons and other such stuff. I supose I might as well start things...Anyone ever read the Golden Compass?

I hope no one locks this; I actually like this idea. I love novels.

Anyone ever read the Golden Compass?
No, I haven't. Any other novels you've read?

Currently, I'm reading "The Truth About Forever" by Sarah Desson. Her books have a lot of meaning in them. I don't like this one better then "This Lullaby" but I suppose it's okay. I love her writing style; she's amazing.

Terrible book. I had to read it for summer reading a few years ago or something like that and I would've preferred to have hanged myself. I despise fantasy books.

Eh, not that many people appreciate a good fantasy book these days. It's my favorite genre, with such books as Eragon and Artemis Fowl topping the list, along with the Golden Compass series. Meanwhile, new day, so new book! Someone else can go ahead and post one.

Eragon's awesome, but I haven't read Eldest yet. is it any good? Ohh, has anybody read Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke? I've read it about three times. It's one of my favorites, anything with dragons.

Dragon Rider is a horrible, horrible twisting and raping of all things draconic and fantastical. It nearly made me vomit.

And Eragon, by itself is good, but it's pretty much Star Wars with Lord of the Rings settings.

Eh, it was slightly interesting, but I've definitely seen better dragon-based books. Eragon and Eldest were good reads.

The Pit Dragon series is a better series. Heart's Blood is an awesome dragon.

Oh, yeah, forgot about that one. Though it ceased to be about dragons in the 3rd book. I'd actually say that though rather short, that's the best series about dragons I've ever read.

I don't like the ending. It was WAY too short. The battle between Harry and Voldy hardly described the enormous scope of the situation. A few paragraphs, and poof voldy's dead.

I love you. Those books are amazing; Of all the books I know of in that length range, they are easily the best.

Anyone ever read the Dragonback Novels? Great reads.

I've never been a Harry Potter fan, the books looked intimidating. O.o

Right now I'm reading a real classic, The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
