Hitmontop looks badass but he can't really take shit - don't be fooled by the stats. Although Bulk Up could work with this, I can't really imagine this set sweeping the game without proper Salac Berry support (get it easily in XD).

SubPunchBoltBeam doesn't do anything for you ingame. You're best off using your humble abilities to go for a sweep. Obviously you need DD - you mate with someone like Horsea to get it (and it's worth it). I'll say this once - breeding should be checked on Serebii.

Mmhm. Metagross doesn't get Calm Mind if I am to recall correctly.

Since this is ingame, you really don't need SubPunch, and DDTar is a bitch to prepare so really just go for all these attacks to cover like everything. Bulk Up is like stupid when we learns Dragon Dance and these other cool setup moves.

It sucks compared to Kingler, though it gets better in light of DP. Return is probably the only semi-decent physical move he learns, and it's only to be recommended in extreme circumstances, which this is.

Don't use two setup moves. Zangoose is really cool, and I'll just recommend using this as a general SD using law.

Well I taught Metagross Calm Mind from a tm, I think I'm going to keep that in lieu of agility. I like hitmontops changes except for Hi Jump Kick, I had it before and its damage was pretty minimal. I'll replace thunderbolt with Dragon Dance on Tyranitar and Ice Beam is a nice addition. I think in the long run I'll just replace Crawdaunt with Kingler, I only captured him because he filled the dark type for me but Tyranitar takes care of that now so there's no need. Other than that it all looks good, Dragonite was a little underwhelming at the time and this should improve him. Thanks.

Hi Jump kick is shit don't use it. Use brick break instead. If your fighter can't learn brick break then pick a different fighter.

Fighting moves in general are shit. Hi Jump Kick to Brick Break is if you're willing to take the risk, but using CB fighters isn't something that's done often nowadays. We're approaching a stall point.

Taking damage on a miss is not something i recommend, especially when the move seems to miss a lot more than it's accuracy says.

there was a move -- I think it was dizzy punch or something -- that gets taught on an island in G/S/C, and it does a huge amount of damage if it hits, but it misses more often than it hits

Brick Break is actually a really under rated move. But I'm replacing Hitmontop with Hitmonlee since he's a lot more bad ass.

I've never been able to find Hitmontop on G/S/C. I searched for hours for that man in the cave who gives you the pre-evolved form of Hitmontop/lee/chan, but damn, that man is good at hiding.
