This movie has sparked a lot of discussion online and I thought it deserved a topic here. It's a full 2 hour movie but I HIGHLY suggest watching it, it's very good IMO. It starts out with your standard YouTube-esque montage of painful images, overused, but with the same overbearing music. Suffer through that and you get to the meat and potatoes of this thing, where it attempts to attack American society on all fronts, starting with religion.
Part 1: The Greatest Story Ever Told
Opening with a George Carlin skit is the best way I could ever think of to do this. The historical facts of this section is what I doubt the most of the entire thing, but that lies specifically in the details and they're few enough that the point they're trying to make still stands. For example, Horus was probably all the things they said, at various points in time. The Egyptian religion changed a lot over time. Many Christian refuters claim this and thus think it debunks the entire argument. However, Christianity has changed many many times over history too, even within the Bible itself. The second part they use is the fact that a couple of his sources are "sensationalists". This is pointless though as half his sources page is Christian research. Historical books are by far fewer, which is my only problem with it, greater historical accuracy would have helped but as I said his points still stand. Also, having done some research into this myself, I've found that Christianity plagiarizes from a lot more than Egypt. I will mention something interesting though, no other place I've seen has claimed Jesus never existed. I am not at all surprised, but that takes balls since most Christians can pull some evidence out of their ass to claim he was alive and most will discount his entire argument simply for that claim.
Some other details that stick out are the Zodiac signs and his assumption that they're entirely universal. Perhaps they all did use a modified "M" for Virgo, but I can't say one way or the other. I just find it unlikely and would like to put it out there. Towards the end he does constant analogies between the Bible and the sun, some of which I find far fetched. Yes I'm nit picking, but I want there to be no doubt that I'm giving credit where credit is due to any arguments against this movie.
Part 2: All The World's A Stage
Here they claim 9/11 was an inside job. Here's where the movie shines, the video and photographic proof along with interviews make a very solid case from what I can tell. I however have not studied this, I'm simply taking what's presented so my opinion might not be entirely valid here.
