How To Catch This Raikou?!?!?!

I really need help in catching this Raikou in my Pokemon Leaf Green without a Masterball... I had followed advice to use either a Wobbuffet or Dugtrio with Arena Trap or a Pokemon with 'Mean Look' to prevent the Legendary dog from fleeing from battle. However, this Raikou would use 'Roar' at me to make ME flee from the battle!!! This Raikou is really getting on my nerves!!! Help needed...

If I were you, I would get a Pokémon that can use the move sing and boost its speed to the max with EVs, Carbos, X Speed, Salac Berries, and Starf Berries.

Also, make this Pokémon you're going to use a Smoochum (if it's obtainable in FireRed, I'm not sure). It knows Sing and Mean Look.

But Soudproof is worthless if you can't trap the Raikou into battling with you because it'll just run away first...

I'd say take a combination of yours and Nocturne's idea. Train a pokemon with the move Mean Look to about five levels above what the Raikou's is, then boost it's speed in any way possible....I'd say you'd have a pretty good chance if you used a Misdreavus. The problem is just getting a hold of one...

Just do what I do: ultra ball it 'till caught. It took three times for me.

I suppose if you beat Pokemon Emerald, have two game boys, and a trade cord, you can use Emerald's cloning glitch on your Masterball. Otherwise, try a really high level Cradily with a few weak attacks and Suction Cups.

You don't have to fight it just once. You can constantly find it, so why not just weaken it every time you do? Once it's low enough use a higher level pokemon and one of those balls that works better on pokemon that is lower level than yours. Otherwise you could just prevent it from running away, get it down to red and then burn Ultra, Repeat, Timer and whatever other balls you have until you catch it. Worked for me with Regis and Kyogre (first method worked with Latios).

Or, just use a Quick Ball as soon as you see it. That's how I caught Dialga.

I caught my Dialga with my Master Ball.I know it was stupid,but I had one Pokemon left and it was in red.I say go with The Editor's idea.Also,I have Leaf Green too.Yay!
