pre-ruby sapphire games were pretty much the only metaphorically good pokemon games. i just play post gold silver because its for competitive interests. they bore me to death.

GSC remake wouldn't be either exciting or neccessary, but it would sell, which is reason enough for Nintendo. As long as they don't fuck the main storyline up, I'm fine with it. The only think I really didn't like about 2nd Gen was the graphics, and that's just because I'd already played Sapphire, in which Gold's graphics pale in comparison. Frankly, I'd buy it if they made it.

I didn't know that you could play R/S/E on DS. So I bought a GAB.
And I ended up buying Emerald instead. (No complaints!)
But my mom kept on telling me to buy DS. It didn't bother her, even if it was two times more expensive. But only because I didn't have abything yet.
Now I can't. Sniff...my sad story....

gold where fantastic! Crystal is still my fave pokemon game, closely followed by Pearl. I would well happy if they remade them but would suck if they weren't GBA games coz migrating would be alot more hassle!!

For me personally Crystal was the best game. I'd play a remake, without a doubt. Someone in this thread said they would cut out Kanto and that would take a lot away from it. I really can't see how, I mean Kanto in G/S/C was complete crap, it was really rushed that's for sure, and could have been a lot better. Not a big loss in my opinion.

People keep saying that theres no point in playing in, and again I can't see how. Just because all the Pokemon are already available, doesn't mean that it wont be fun. I'm sure 85% of the people who are anti-remake are going to buy and play the game. If just even for the nostalgia.
