What's with wierd neighbors?

I live in a driveway up a hill, with about 5 houses in it. Our old next door neighbour's dog killed both our rabbits and a guinea pig but last year they moved away. Most of them are families here, all big houses. I'll show pictures sometime soon. ^^

we have some neighbors in our area, but the majority of them we don't know. In fact, a good deal of my neighbors' houses are like Willie Wonka's chocolate factory. You never see anyone go in, and no one ever comes out, either.

There are three families we are acquainted with, however. One family we've known for the past 16 years, and the kids in the family hate each other, so they chase each other around the kitchen with knives when they get into arguments over the last piece of food Another family is just an old guy and his wife living together. I really don't know them well at all, except the wife makes some mean homemade applesauce. The other family is really preppy and they all go to bed at 7 pm, and they have an annoying black lab that barks at us whenever we go outside of our house (and the fucking thing has known us for the past 5 years). They have five kids, one of whom is adopted from Guatemala.

Well I've got one of those rental houses next door, so wierdo after wierdo rent the place for a while make a scene of themselves and leave. Then of course its in a convienient area of the city. Of course we have the D&D/Star wars freak across the street, and a Mini-kid down the block. Not a dull day outside. Shame I like the inside.

Introducing Lower Hutt:


The entrance to the small driveway. As you can see, there's a lot of greenery. I love how many shrubs, trees and flowers there are around.


My favourite part of our driveway. A huge, archaic tree and under it is a picnic table and bench, perfect place for a sit down. You should see the sunset from there.


Our house, at the end of the drive. Very country-esque, no? I'm expecting people here to be living in the big city so this is a change. ^^


From the deck upstairs. You can see a lot of native trees around there. There's our backyard, it's pretty huge but lately it's been so wet you can't exactly do anything outside.

Well you should see the inside. xD None of us in my family are much of a neat-freak so it's a bit of a mess. Especially my room. Don't go anywhere near it.

Neatness is overrated imo. The only time I straighten out my room is when I have an inspection on it. Otherwise, I have stuff randomly scattered about my desk and my closet. And I've got a gigantic cable wire snaking its way around my room, so I worry when guest wanna use the bathroom.....

I tend to lose things if I clean up too..... ^^;
