I did cooking classes in Home Economics for a term or so during 8th grade and I learned to cook various dishes like stir fry, beef stew and lasagna. Completely forgot everything I learnt in those classes now. At best I could probably cook a packet of two minute noodles these days.

For dinner this evening I had potato wedges with a couple of pieces of beef steak. Simple yet satisfying.

My school called Home Economics "Family/Consumer Sciences"
"I'll go," said Chagataev. "But what will I do there? Build socialism?"
    "What else?" said the secretary.

    baby baby baby stew
it's the stew from me and you
let me show you how it's done
    let's make stew for everyone

take my egg and throw it in
    let the cooking show begin
next put cum in the cup
    then you simply

    MIX IT UP!
When the Devil is too busy
And Death's a bit too much
They call on me by name you see,
    For my special touch.

bumpin dis cos i just cooked definitely my best dinner ever. real easy too. i cant see how anyone can be a bad cook.

porterhouse steak cooked in probably an UNNECESSARY amount of butter which made it really tender, rubbed some of this new high-quality black pepper i just got on it. good stuff. was probably cooked medium rare. asparagus with the same butter, this dope australian olive oil that i got FIFTY PERCENT OFF just now, pepper and sea salt, and sauteed mushrooms and white and red onions with olive oil, salt, pepper, and this wine we have that is really shitty to drink but is pretty decent to cook with i guess

it was pretty great. looked really fancy on the plate. proper Restaurant presentation!!!

ps asparagus is definitely the best side dish ever

WHAT HAVE PEOPLE BEEN COOKING LATELY

Chicken Provolone = Best + Easiest dinner ever.

Take a stainless steel pan and get it uber hot, throw in quite a bit of butter and an equal amount of extra light extra virgin olive oil. When its sizzling hot add your chicken breasts. Brown both sides really well. Remove chicken when it is about 2/3 done and deglaze the pan with about 1/2 cup of chicken stock. Add chicken back to the pan and throw it in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes. Add provolone to the top, I mean really smother it in cheese. Place it back in the oven for about another 10 minutes or until the cheese is really bubbly and has little brown dots on the top.

Serve over rice pilaf with some of the stock poured over the rice.

    OMGWTFBBQ it pwns.

Last weekend my hubby made Arroz con Pollo... It is my new favorite thing ever. It's easy as heck too. It's basically Puerto Rican Chicken and Rice.

Rub 1/2 of a bone in chicken that has been cut into pieces really extremely well in Adobo seasoning, I mean make it yellow with the stuff and let it sit for at least 24 hours in the fridge.

In a sizzling hot stainless steel pan melt 1/2 stick of butter and about 3 tbsp of extra light extra virgin olive oil... Brown the chicken on all sides really well and then remove it to a place... Add about 1 cup of sofrito to the pan to deglaze it and saute until veggies are translucent, add chicken back to the pan plus 2 cups of rice and 4 cups of chicken stock. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover and cook until rice is tender, about 12 minutes or so. Let stand about 5 minutes uncovered after the rice is done to make sure rice doesn't get sticky.

    Adobo seasoning:

    2tsp Tumeric
    1tsp Cumin
    1tsp ground dried Oregano
    1tsp Sea Salt
    1tsp fresh ground black pepper

    Sofrito:
    1 onion, diced
    1 bell pepper, diced
    1 banana pepper, diced
    4-5 cloves of garlic, minced

Adobo is also VERY GOOD on a grilled steak, in rice pilaf, hell its good on almost anything that has a spanish/mexican/puerto rican flare.

Sound beautiful. I must remember that recipe. Right now I have the oven going with some roast chicken with potatoes, which are always best and cleanest cooked in glass, homemade wedges, always with a hell of a lot of oregano, and brownies for tonight. But mainly it'll be some leftover dumplings and rice. I can share some recipes too later.
