I make two dollars over the min wage at the shelter and work 40 hours flat. Sometimes if we get rescue dogs in we get over time..
I also get paid vacation, paid holidays (double my normal rate), paid sick days, and it's a non profit organization so it's not TOO bad. I enjoy it too.

I quit. Wasn't my thing. I need social interaction or I get really anxious and it was starting to effect me terribly. I work with people and animals now it's pretty aight.

i dont know, i think i could become mayor of whatever city i lived in if i wanted. i dont know if i have an affinity for the PUBLIC LIFE though. tbh i am reasonably confident i could become an influential figure in national politics if i wanted.
Being a mayor is probably one of the best political positions
i agree, its on a big enough scale to matter but small enough to have a substantial effect on all relevant institutions. not enough control over the school system though.
