    Not old enough, apparently. I think that for all his showboating, he's actually afraid of being in any kind of relationship which is why he always sabotages it by acting like an ass and thus forcing the intervention of a 3rd party (Misty, Max, Croagunk).

    He's not 18 and it wouldn't be illegal unless he actually tried to...nevermind, I'm unfamiliar with Hoenn's age of consent laws. But if 10 year olds can leave home and raise armies of super-powered pets, I would imagine it's pretty darn low.
